American Girl Benefit Sale Date for 2010

Have you ever been to the American Girl Annual Beneft Sale? If not, your missing quite an event and not to mention the best deals ever on American Girl Dolls. Every year for over the past 20 years, the Madison Chilrens Museum holds an event where they sale merchandise to that has been donated in order raise funds for children in need within Dane County Wisconsin. This year it is going to be held on July 17-18th, 2010. All spaces for crafters have been reserved, if you haven't held a booth before you will need to contact them for more information. So what can you expect to find; a large variety of hand made gifts and doll accessories for sale that draws in thousands of shoppers from all over the country. Throughout every season, Madison Children’s Museum volunteers, repairs and restores products donated by American Girl, that the company has turned down as secondhand itmes or has accepted as customer returns.

Since inception they have raised around $14 million. For 2010 the effort produces up to 35 percent of Madison Children’s Museum’s annual operating budget. All these funds will be put to good use for the museum’s initiatives to supply exhibits and support the Family Access program, which supplies low-income families with free or subsidized use of the museum and it's programs.

The rest of the proceeds assist programs and services for children in Dane County through American Girl’s Fund for Children in need.
